New British Standards Published
The British Standards Institute (BSI) have published a new and revised British Standard on accessible and inclusive built environments. BS8300:2009 has been replaced with a two part standard as of this month.
Design of an accessible and inclusive built environment
- Part 1 (BS 8300-1: 2018) a new edition standard, focusses on the design of accessible and inclusive external built environments.
- Part 2 (BS 8300-2: 2018) a revised and updated BS8300:2009 extends beyond advice to specifically design for disabled people and includes how to also design and manage the built environment with an inclusive approach.

Wheelchair Housing Design Guide
